FAQ on Dog Boarding in Texas
Check out our FAQ on dog boarding to get the answers (and peace of mind) you need before you go out of town.
Will my dog have a good time while boarding?
We’re not sure who will have more fun while you’re out of town – you or your dog. Our facility is designed for dog play, relaxation and socialization with four-legged friends. We have a dog ball pit, a sandbox for digging, plenty of enrichment toys, and of course, a caring and dog-loving staff who will take the time to play with your pooch.
What vaccines are required for dog boarding?
Your dog must be current on Bordetella, distemper and parvo, and rabies vaccinations to stay in our kennel-free dog boarding facility.
Why do you evaluate my dog’s temperament?
We evaluate all our guests’ temperaments before they can settle in, and that’s to ensure that your dog and all our other guests are safe and in the right environment. We conduct a meet-and-greet where your dog will meet new friends and staff members, and during this time, we figure out his or her play style and figure out which group of friends he or she belongs with.
Will someone play with my dog while she’s boarding?
Your dog will have plenty of playmates while boarding with us. Some will have two legs and some will have four, but you can rest assured that your dog will get all the love and attention he or she deserves. We also provide mental enrichment toys, such as puzzles, for inquisitive dogs who like to figure things out on their own.

Do you keep dogs in kennels in your boarding facility?
Canine Cowboy is a kennel-free facility. We don’t want to lock up your dog – and believe us, your dog doesn’t want to be locked up, either. We have plenty of places for your dog to kick back and relax… but no kennels. Your dog can feel right at home with us.
Do You Need a Kennel-Free Dog Daycare?
If you’re looking for the best dog daycare and boarding facility, Canine Cowboy is the place for you. Our kennel-free facility would love to invite you for a meet-and-greet with your pup to see if we’re a good fit.
