When dogs get bored, they can become restless and destructive. Even if you work remotely, you may not have the time to play with your dog during the work week. Doggy day care provides a space where dogs are able to get some exercise and mental stimulation.
What Is Doggy Day Care?
Doggy day care is a place where you can leave your dog for supervision while at work. Canine Cowboy’s trained, on-site staff are always present to observe your dog’s activities. Your dog will be well taken care of while you are away.
Daily Enrichment
Our kennel-free environment gives your dog a variety of activities to do, such as outdoor play areas and puzzle toys. Cozy dog beds give your dog a place to rest, and sofas offer them a homey option. With constant staff supervision, your dog can choose to play as long as they’d like. Some of the enrichment activities we offer include:
- Sandbox
- Ball pit
- DogTV
Boarding Services
We offer boarding and day care services 7 days a week. Whether you’re out of town or at work, we provide daily photos and updates of your pet. Our trained staff knows how to engage with dogs of all ages and types, ranging from senior care to puppy play sessions.
Is Doggy Day Care Safe?
To protect our staff and the pets in our care, we require that all dogs meet certain criteria. All dogs need to be up to date on flea and tick prevention and vaccines for bordetella, distemper, parvo, and rabies. Your pet also needs to be spayed or neutered if they are older than 6 months.
We will not be able to accommodate dogs that are aggressive towards people or other animals. Before we onboard your pet for day care or boarding services, we will conduct a meet-and-greet. Our staff will evaluate your dog’s behavior by placing it in a dog group of similar size, age, and play style for a few hours. This allows us to determine if Canine Cowboy is the right place for your pet.
Will My Dog Like Doggy Day Care?
After your dog has passed our meet-and-greet process, we will be able to provide day care and boarding services for your pet. Each dog is placed into a group that is appropriate for them based on their age and temperament. This placement process allows puppies to get their energy out with other puppies and lets senior dogs relax.
We provide a day care report card for your pet that summarizes their day with us. The report card records any friends your dog has made and their overall behavior. If you have any questions about your pet’s stay, feel free to ask any of our on-site staff.
